This lecture offers experiential activities to help participants feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and somatically engaged.

This lecture will outline five practical strategies that work individually and collectively to increase one’s level of well-being. Participants will learn somatic activities and explore biofeedback tools. There will be a demonstration showing physiological changes in real time.
“Mindfulness Meditation Practice”
This experiential lecture will uncover the proven science behind ancient meditation practices. We will demystify self-defeating perceptions about meditation and assist participants to learn and experience basic meditation skills that they can use to cultivate a daily practice. Simple technologies will be discussed as adjuncts to aid in motivation and accountability to empower one on a path toward meditation.
“Heart Rate Variability (HRV): A useful tool for building resilience in a stressful world”
In this lecture, we will define what it means to be resilient and how it relates to our psychophysiological health. Participants will understand the relationship between the heart and mind, as well as how to amplify this connection to achieve greater ease, balance, and coherence. We will explore biofeedback instrumentation in real time and participants will walk away with a few simple, yet powerful activities to help shift from depleting to renewing emotional stability, needed most during stressful situations.

This in-depth lecture on the 10th cranial nerve discusses the social branch of the nervous system and its connection to developing safety and recovering from trauma. Participants will learn somatic activities to directly touch into the Vagus nerve and its many branches to develop greater ease and connection to the body. This lecture was developed for students and therapists in the body-mind field but can be simplified to meet the need of laypeople.
